Is there a programme that i can download that will allow me to use my laptop as a remote control for my tv ?

 

my laptop has infrared.

LOL that would be one fookin great remote control that you should not lose down the side of the sofa.

If you're not short on space, why not install a TV studio in a spare room instead?

That way you get the programs you want to watch, when you want to watch them so no need to ever switch channels :x:

and save on tv licence lol :nana2:

Hey theres this one program that i found, It's a sourceforge program and there is a port for windows with questionable support. I say questionable only because i have not gotten it to work on my machine. The computer im using also happens to be a fairly old and slow laptop which might be affecting the application in more ways than one. Anyway, i wish you good luck with it, post back of it works. I doubt the Infra-red on laptop will have enough range. It differs to the IR found in remotes.
