i've started getting pop-up i have a pop-up blocker but these pop-up's are coming through "msmsgs" i turn it off the usual way in system configuration but after a day or so it turns itself back on and i get pop-up :headvswal any ideas. i run spywares and anti-virus and all ok

Go to the control panel, then add and remove programs and remove all the stuff that might of been downloaded without you knowing. Then do a virus scan and turn the pop up blocker on. Make sure your firewall is on to, it'll be a virus sumwhere switching it off all the time.

i was getting popups from microsoft all the time, im with aol and run an aol computer and broadband check up

 

it detected the popups and switched them off, now i never get them HTH

you are cheeky fookers its not porn :xxx: the pop ups are shit like credit cards. i do disable it but after a day or so it turns itself back on and i get pop ups again

set it to manual not disabled.

 

Also if those messages can get through, you mustn't have a firewall leaving your pc completely exposed to the internet. You should really have a firewall running, even the standard windows one is decent enough.
