SATA drive help

I've just installed a second SATA drive and i cant get the dam thing to work.

my MOBO is an ASUS A6V Delux, i installed some raid software and it shows up on that, but it doesn't show up on "my computer" i was to use these drive independent of each other.

    Have you got other drives on the standard IDE ports?

    I had this problem on an Asus A6V board and apparently not all combinations of IDE/SATA work.

    It's not just Asus boards either it seems to be a problem with many earlier SATA boards.

    Not sure if there's a BIOS fix but I just removed one of the other drives and it started working.

    sorted it now, had to right click on my comp and manage the drive, cheers
