I dont know if Bedford is south or the midlands? It seems quite south but quite middlish too? The only thing I dont understand is WHY? Why do we need another forum? why do we need to segregate? Are people from up north not allowed to join? What about those from Scotland or abroad? If they are......I ask again whats the point? There is already a section set up for south meets :confused:

the whole reason is if you actually took a look at the south map you would see how much the sw and se groups have to cover. for me being on a 5000 limited milage policy travelling to the other side of london or sw to cornwall isnt an option. there are more than enough people to justify having this central group. and in my opinion most of the sw events are held around bristol which is a bloody nightmare to travel to from the south coast.

Sorry Gaz I cant show support if I think its a stupid idea mate. If you lot want so much to be different then find another club or start your own. I am allowed to express my opinion and if YOU read the thread it asks what do you think. Gaz I aint getting into a stupid arguement with you over this but you cant just expect the club to change because you can only do 5000 miles a year?

Why is it such a stupid idea? We could travel to some of the SW, Wales, or Midlands meets and still travel less distance than going to some SE meets! If there are enough members to support the idea, that it affects, ie not Vini, then what would be wrong with a South Central? No offence Vini but do you go to any meets due to your unfortunate shift commitments?

Hold up Yami. I aint saying nothing agianst the southwest meets thing or the south anything meets. Yes I agree its very hard for some people such as Gaz because of he's insurance. Me because of my work committments. I am just asking why do you need your own forum? You have always been able to organise meets on an open forum and you have your own section anyway. Why a south only forum. Its segregation and it aint on mate. We are a club not an affiliation of clubs? Please dont anyone get me wrong "what ever floats your boat" But Hellraiser asked for everyones opinion and I gave mine and got a *****cking for it. Now I am deffending myself. Vini, slight misunderstanding methinks...what Gaz wants is a South Central region in the meets, not a whole forum to exclude other areas.

This would mean someone taking on more responsibility as events cordinator though.

This is all getting a little out of hand. Really, in the great scheme of things does it really matter! :confused:

 

Seems to be so many arguments sprouting recently from what in my opinion are nothing, a little difference in opinion is healthy and makes the world a bit more interesting but it seems that way to many members are taking way too much to heart.:(

all im trying to put across is that we have a good following in local meets and would like it recognise in a club which i love being apart of thats all.

i think forum is the wrong word we just want a space on the club forum to arrange south central meets without having to hijack daves or steves sw and se group threads because thats rude.

now get this south central area up and running before i get back. :rofl:

basicly vini what everyone means is there are south west, sout east, midlands and, north west and north west regions in the meeets section.

my geography tells me if you look at north england it aint that wide but from the furthest pointwest (lands end) to the furthest point approx east (margate) it is 366 miles that is like the distance to scotland from here. so correct me if im wrong but England is wider at the bottom and covers more area so we need a south central section.

for example if you lived in reading its 262mile worst case to a south west meet(lands end) and 120miles worst case for south east meet (margate)

most SE meets are on other side of London so you have to use worst motorway ever the M25.

come on someone grant us permission for SOUTH CETRAL REGION in the meets section
