Hi peeps!! kust wanted to check on a couple of things.... I'm in the process of changing my timing belt and install my koyo rad. Want to get rid of the aircon while i'm at it.....done the search on the site and help was very usefull.... Does the heating , demister etc run independently of the aircon, so when i ditch it , i will still have the demister etc......plus , is there a giude on tt.net or anything like that to follow, just to be on the safe side?

Heater is totally seperate mate, no probs there!

I also removed all the lines to the bulkhead whilst engine was out-might be tight with it in tho'! :)

ps..any guides available to ditching the aircon?......

There should be 2 mate!-can't remember where tho'! :o -look on the pipework for a plastic screw-on cap, that'll be it! :D

plastic screw on cap is near the bulk head you can take the aircon pipes out up to the bulk head by taking the battery out;)

little update, got rid of the aircon today ( very easy to do )....turns out there was next to no gas left in the system...( havent used it in 2 years anyway) amazing how much room you have to work when its all gone. Gives my new koyo much more air to cool things!! Anyway got 2 questions now if you dont mind! What is the fan in front of the aircon rad, can i ditch it as i'm using the OEM viscious fan anyway and the 2 oil coolers at the front of the car are for what. I think they are for engine oil and the really small one power steering fluid? just need to know as they are very rusty and might need replacing!!
