hey guys,

the newest of problems today. I've put a post on here before about this but noone semed to have a clue so i checked all the usual stuff and it was all fine - then it stopped misbehaving :)

Basically sometime after i stop the engine having had the lights on, the drivers side full beam comes on after i've left the car. Its stayed on all night and day this time and i now have a flat battery. Anyone got any ideas or maybe seen this before? I haven't a clue. All i know is if i drive it for a bit with the lights on then turn em off. The full beam stays off for a while. i'm lost.

PLEASE HELP!!

...a fuse in the fuse box has gone - the high beam is the way Nissan tell you it's gone... Had the same not too long ago as I replaced one if the lights fuses into the wrong slot - drivers footwell.

Good luck

Try the main beam relay but if it was that it would be both lights on. I would change the actual switch. Had it on a customers before.

You sure there's only one relay for both lights ? Isn't that a bit of a safety issue ? I seem to remember than when one of my lights failed it was due to a faulty relay.

I could be wrong. Infact thinking about it yes i am. Just ignore me is best but it did happen on customers car though. LOl cheers andy

Best consult an expert, ring Jeff at Zedworld...you don't want to mess about with electrics.

Thanx guys will take it on board! Have to take the damn relay out every time i park it now!

Just had a thought, try swapping the LH and RH relays over, that way you'll know whether it's the relay or something else upstream.

Last time I bought a relay from Nissan I think it was about £13, so they're not too expensive.
