Reversing lights power signal in/near dashboard

Hi all,

 

I need to tap into the power signal of the reversing lights - but I need to do it in the dashboard area for the autoswitching of a rear camera.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction please and save me some time followign cables!!

    why don't you run a cable from your reversing lights to the front of the car, then you can tap off it anywhere you like ??

     

    The only other place would be from the reversing light switch on the gear linkage...... easier to run a cable from the rear....
