As many of you will know, my Zed was written off in an accident a few weeks back. Eventually got a semi decent figure from the Insurance Company and decided to take their offer, plus buy the car back.

Was going to go for the wide arch style and re-paint.

However !

 

Was offered a very large sum of money for the Zed the way she sat, without doing any repairs. Started thinking and looking around.

 

Dont all rip the p**s here, but have made a decision.

On Monday I will be the owner of a Chevrolet Corvette C4.

Not yet registered in this country, 5.7 TPI motor, 3 over 4 manual gearbox,

full leather and 52,000 miles. All import duties paid.

I reckon I can double my money, maybe even triple it with ease.

So that makes me in a better position to buy a good Zed later in the year.

Actually felt quite sad when I delivered her to her new owner tonight. :cry:

Sorry to hear that m8. I was looking forward to seeing the work completed. It sounded like a good plan you had.

 

But doing it the way you are sounds a more financially rewarding way.

With regards to muscle cars, altough looking nice and sounding great, thats where the story ends!

 

The yanks are decades behind Japs and europeans with even there latest creations still using very old technology! There motors can push out big power but never attempt to put in into a corner or stop in a hurry! They also break down alot!

 

With regards to the vet, sounds like a good investment, and they do look nice but never expect it to replace a Z :bow: :bow: Sorry to hear about your crash.

Not looking for a Zed replacement Andy. See it more of a chance to double my money and get a better Zed ! :) As for reliability, had several Yanks in the past twenty years and never had any problems with them breaking down.

Their technology was way behind the East, and in the early eighties they realised they were falling way behind. Took them a long while to get their act together tho !

Yup he sure has, but I dont think he will still have it by the time I will have the Corvette ready for re-sale. :( Will be snapped up by then.

Love my cars in general, the Zeds especially, but at the price I am picking the Corvette up for, as Craig David has stated, I would be a fool not to !

Winnipeg, its right bang in the middle! About 750,000 population, Very friendy place, Canada is such a huge place its unreal, takes 8 hours just to fly from one side to the other!

 

Cant wait to get my Z out here, I'll be dropping it to southampton docks for shipping next time i'm back in april. Going to drive it the 2000 miles from Halifax to Winnipeg, unbelievable roads!
