Just coming back on the open country roads, stuck behind a white can taking it very easy and saw a nice looking new BMW come up behind me. Van turned off - bit of open road ahead so I thought why not. Pull away pretty quick then watch the gap increase to about 10 car lengths, then he realised! Fooker caught me up in about 2 heartbeats. Awesome speed that thing, overtook me as I turned off. The new BMW M5 :bow:

Im sure they do handle well, but your comparing a 1500kg Sports car to a large 1800kg Saloon.

 

Ditch the 15yr old worn suspension and fit Fresh suspension, bushes & decent tyres, it makes all the difference.

I got me a shortie thats lowered with Koni's all round. It started to drift a tad in the corners and the warning system (Read : WIFE) started making a noise, hence I slowed down on the cornering. Theres No chance I would've pulled away from that tho - he was close and mine was absolutely on the edge.

They are seriously fast as fook.

Japanese cars are the most reliable in the world, and mine has cost me a lot less per year than my Bmw 535i did for Repairs, Maintenance and fuel !

my cousin had a V reg M5 i drove it on the M6, i put my foot down a bit just to see the difference, boy G-force and its kicked it was like a raging bull, taking everything in its path. I love it, but i still love me Z, the looks, the attention and the dumps valves going off just does it for me.

So far all I've got is an RPS lightweight flywheel, JWT ECU, HKS induction, fat exhaust & running B.C. at 14.5 PSI and I pissed all over a new M3 and he WAS trying. Mac, next time you blow away an M5, please mount a camera on the nearside of your car so we can see his face :D

 

BMWs I've had in the past have all blown their head gaskets, a director in work has just shelled out a fortune because his head was too corroded to put back on. Never had that problem with any Nissan. Their reliability claims are all marketing shite which people fall for IMHO.
