Are the Police taking the piss?

FFS!!!!!!!!

I posted earlier on tonight about the fact that I'd clocked an unmarked in Brum in the roadworks on the M6. Is it not enough that they've got FUCKING SPECCS(I'll get you no matter what radar dicktector you've got!) cameras throughout that they need to send out MUPPET coppers in BMW's???

I AM STARTING TO HATE THE UK TRAFFIC POLICE WITH A FUCKING VENGEANCE!!! BIG TIME!!! USELESS FUCKERS!!! mad.gif

I've got to agree there. If the cops put as much time and trouble into other types of 'crime' as the do to us poor motorists, the uk would once again be a nice place to live.

Other types of crime cost money, speeding is a revenue raiser ... frown.gif

What really worries me is the 'zero tolerance' policing they are talking about for London. It worked in New York where crime figures have been brought right down, but you can bet in London they will include all motoring offences in their zero tolerance approach which means a lot more fines.

What really annoyed me with the SPECS camera on the M6 is that theres a final camera about 300 yards after the end of the roadworks, so if you floor it and get up to a high enough speed your average speed for the last section may be too high.

Yeah I noticed that aswell John, tossers!!! Sneaky or what???

another reason for cracking down on speeders is to boost the crime detection rates. if you speed, that is classed as a crime. if you are flashed by a speed camera and fined that is classed as a detection, so when u hear that the crime detection rates have risen, its because theyve caught more speeding motorists.. not because theyre caught thieves and killers. then youll see some politician on the telly saying what a wonderfull job they are doing because crime detection rates are up..... tossers the lot of em. there thats my 10 penneth worth

I agree entirely mate! wink.gif

Nowadays the only time you hear about the Police catching serious crims is through Crime Watch FFS!!! mad.gif

I really expected a NIP in the post as I cruised through the roadworks at 40mph all the way, saw the end of roadworks sign and floored it. My car has a 'reasonable' pick up so I probably hit about 100mph as I went under the gantry but obviously my average speed over the distance was low enough to get away with it.

What really amazed me was the number of people in the outside lane of the roadworks doing about 60mph...the SPECS must be picking them off at a rate of knots, the only saving grace for them might be that all speeding offences must be checked by a human before processing.

At least I dont have to worry about getting caught speeding at the moment as I have been out of contracting for about 3 months now so dont have to go anywhere...
