learn to read PJ  , this was cut and paste from another site.

The guys Astra pumps out 260bhp i think, but i still think it could not have been a TT that was beat.

Yeuk...a 300ZX TT beaten by a poogot? Hmm, can't really see that TBH. Maybe if the poogot was super tubbed up he may have a chance 0-60 but top end the TT would spank his skanky ass...

funny how people always go on about top end, how many of us have ever raced to our cars full top speed. most races only get to 130mph max.

(On my private track..) I occasionally get to 150...then my track comes to an end..lol..

There are a few cars around Dundee that I could get beat from if I raced them. Some are:

2.0 Turbo Novas

High power RS Turbos

T16 205s

All built to beat cars like ours. No shame in losing really. My old R5 would accelerate quicker than the Z to about 60, but from then onwards I would destroy it.

I could say the same about my GFs car. I could take her C2 VTS round a corner quicker than the Z. Its back to politician talk, you can make anything sound amazing by promoting the best bits.

but a piece of sh*t with a jacket on is still a piece of sh*t...IMO

well said mate. But how much have they spent on there cars to get it to 300ZX standard?I would dare say probably more than to buy a Zed in the first place.

I rest my case

Agree totally, I would never bother with all the hassles they have. But I think its quality to see a car like that. "sheep in wolves clothing".

My favourite was a BMW Issetta (bubble car) with a Suzuki Hayabusa engine in it. You see eveyone laughing as it came to the start line on a 1/4 mile track. But checking the aww around the croud was amazing. Never seen so many stunned faces, lol.

Exactly. Whilst we all bask in the fact that "higher up the range" and "top end" the ZX still holds the advantage, the truth is with a 0-60 of 5.6 stock, owners of lesser "Lax Power" type cars have to spend a fair bit of cash to get their cars up to ZX levels of straight line performance.......

..............and they won't look as good either

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

thats sipos astra - it will destroy most zeds on here - know him well

very quick car indeed

Quote-thats sipos astra - it will destroy most zeds on here - know him well

But how much has it cost him to build that car?The return of pwer with that amount on cash spent on a Zed would make a much more formidable weapon!

At the end of the day its still an Astra and will never ever turn heads the way a Zed does however much moneys been spent under the bonnet.
