Mathew Levett (MTL) has decided to stand down as the Club’s Membership Secretary so we need to find a replacement. As a member of the Club’s committee the Membership Secretary is an important position and requires a proactive individual who can devote the time and energy to successfully carry out the role. The Membership Secretary’s responsibilities include:

 

* To ensure that an accurate record of the Club’s membership is maintained.

* To assess membership status and issue membership packs.

* To liaise with Club's treasurer on subscription collection.

* To promote membership of Club by devising and implementing membership drives, advertisements and recruiting activities.

* To organise the planning and purchase of membership related items such as badges, membership stickers and clothing.

* To attend all committee meetings.

 

Nominations are invited now for candidates for the position of Membership Secretary for the election by full members by forum poll starting on the 5th March and finishing on the 18th March. The successful candidate will be announced on the forum.

 

The nominations are open to candidates who are full (subscribed) members of the Club. Prospective candidates should nominate themselves in this post and must include the names of two other full members who support the nomination. The prospective candidate must also supply via PM to the Club Chairman (AndrewG) a short statement of why they feel that they are suitable for the role together with their plans and ideas for the role. When the election starts on the 5th March the forum poll will include the list of candidates along with their short statements for doing the role. Voting members can then read and decide.
