Trying to backup a music cd onto a cdr with Windows Media player but I can't find an option - can it be done?

Try this, I use it for most of my cd fiddlings ... http://www.cdburnerxp.se/

It can be done but I find it slower than other options...I have a program called FreeRip. Try http://www.download.com and search for free software.

you mean ripping or just "backing up"?

 

if backing up just copy them with nero?? easy

yep, need to back up a cd. Where can I "get" nero?

just do a search, you can dowload it from loads of places and then download a serial crack or pm me and i will send you one ;)

Kirbz, any chance you can get me hold of some decent photo editing software, everything i seem to download has something dodgy going on or the crack dont work

I've tried to copy my original CD and it errors. Should I be able to get a 79 minute cd onto an 80 minute CD-r?

If you download windows media player 10 from the microsoft web site for free it has a burn option that jumps right out at you, and its a better media player as well. you can't miss it.
