What articles would you like to see in Japanese car magazines?

I'm going to have a go at writing some articles for the bigger japanese car mags.

What sort of articles would you like to see?

'Feature cars' - showing a highly modified car

Buyers guides - all about one model of car with buying information

'Doing' features - how to do your first track day or drag day

'de-mystifying' features - know everything about a subject eg alloy wheels, brakes, exhausts, turbos etc

'how tos' - driving techniques (eg left foot braking, drifting, cornering lines, wet weather driving etc)

'How tos' - technical (eg fitting HID lights, tips from pro valets etc)

Road tests - comparative testing of (used) Japanese cars

Obviously we'd all like to see more 300ZXs so that goes without saying.

But what would you like to see / read more of? It could be stuff listed above or anything you can think of.

Is there any article that would make you buy a magazine just for that?

Cheers folks!

id like to see people like mac, jason farrow, steve 300zx, people from all extremes of the modifiying scene, but just normal people, not hooge companies with a nearly unlimited fund and resources

although big company's cars are good aswell

but you get my drift lol

gets my vote!

as stella says, there ought to be more emphasis on individuals modifying their cars rather than company demo cars.

A drivers Wives section...

Be good if you covered group meets say like the Thurrock meet that just gone.. So you can get a wide spread of cars and people who have a 300zx

I always like to see technical 'How To' guides to help us less technically minded peeps to do some of the more basic mods ourselves. Plus, explaining the ins and outs of track/drag days would help get more people started by making them seem less daunting.

And, like stellaz said, more REAL owners features would be good - people we can all relate to.

what mags are you going to be writing for bud

Well... they none of them even know I exist yet but I'm going to approach the ones with Japanese cars only (not general modified cars or 'babes'!)

None of them might be interested though - you never know.

Your motor would make a great feature car I'd think though.

My bud is ED for one of the mags in the CHP group,,,,,, not the JP one,,,,,, but he knows all the guys that do that mag well,,,, start writing ,, then see Zoe Harrison for the pics,,,her old man loves 200ZXs (working his way up i guess,,, only 100 to go) I will have a word with my mate for ya if the stuff looks good.

I did a 4 page feature for a UK car mag (hard to belive i know looking at the shit i post on these things) back in 98,, pics n all,,, but got F**K all £ for it,,,, just a swollen head my wife says,,, i think you have to be one of the big names to make the big bucks,,, but good luck with it mate :hyper: :xxx:

Who put that litte tosser in??? he should have been next to the 200zx ,,,Sorry CD.

Id like to see more feature cars with BIG ICE installs .. pretty much every jap car ive seen with an install has been an after thought .. a few more "how to" on door builds comprehensive detailing on how to build a proper sub box n not the flat sounding 1 note wonders that most people build .. charging systems etc .. when you build a tuned engine, u always look at whats goin to fuel it.. so start looking into what powers your system .. the one thing people forget about systems is that in any car fitted with an ecu that peak voltage drops from your system can have results on what your ecu picks up from senders etc

Sorry to rant .. but its a big passion of mine
