I am getting information together so I can plan for my boot install. Got a couple of questions:

- What size are the front and rear speakers as standard??

-Is there any kits I can use to upgrade the front speakers if they are a smaller size?

- What do you guys recommend, upgrading existing speakers or doing a small shelf to accomodate new 6x9s?

I am not near the car so I couldnt check myself.

Any info appreciated.

Fronts are 6.25" . (6" or 6.5" will fit.)

Rears are 6x4"

I would personally recomend a set of quality front components, with tweeter mounted flush at top of door.

Ditch the rears, as you wont get any decent sound from 6x4's, and either fit 6x9's in their place (they can be made to fit)....or forget about rears entirly and install a sub.

Actually, come to think of it I have seen sony tweeters on the dashboard infront. I will check the speakers before I go ordering then.

Thanks for the info Legrath, all I need to get me going.

I have a set of Focal Poly Kevlar Components in the front, and TBH I have never had the need for rear speakers as they are so clear

as Legrath said "Quality"

I had some component speakers fitted in my red un. - Forgotten name but cheap crap.

components in my new shortie (Kenwood & Pioneer) sounds awesome - so much so I dont need me boot sub/amp.
