Insurance contacted me today, regarding my damaged Zed.

 

The deal offered was;

 

Category "D" write off,

 

Get to keep the car,

 

Amount of cash, minus salvage and Excess = £2,200.

 

What do you think ??

i got offered three grand to keep my car

how much damage was on your car matey, spoke to my insurance today and if its a total loss they would price it on a similar zed condition and bodykit great, would still keep the zed and take the settlement as you did

any z in my opinion off of here is worthy to advertise the club at shows. :bow: who can argue when it looks so damn good even in stock form ;)

Alan, u might get a few more quid out of them but if it was me i'd take the offer, lets face it, besides a bit of hassle financially i think you'll be a winner from all this.. why waste time for afew quid... my opinion of course, i think the settlement seems fair..

I got £4500 and the car for my bump. Just keep pushing them they check prices from autotrader so look it up and make sure you can run all the £2000 motors down :)

Say no. You spent 9 months looking for that car. ALL of the others you looked at were dogs and you looked at at least 30 of them.

 

It is worth £3500 - £600 salvage and you will not accept anything less than £2900 + keeping the car.

 

Thats what I'd say bud.
