Yeah, sorry to hear about this bud, I can't offer any advice, but I can offer moral support :D

All the best

Very sorry that you crashed you ZX dude. I can relate to your woe as i crashed my ZX 2 months ago. I hope you get your car fixed, looking good and back on the road soon.

mate, when it comes to zeds youre one of the unluckiest people i know. Feel for ya.

Very sorry to hear about this bud, anything you need just post it on the forum and if I have it, it's yours for the p/p.

Gutted for you mate. That's one sweet looking car you've got there. Main thing is, as others have pointed out, that you got out OK. Cars can be fixed or replaced. Best thing is to see what the insurance company has to say and have a couple of beers to celebrate not getting hurt as it could have been so much worse.

Cheers bud,

Bart

Oh bugger! Really sorry to hear this mate, you must be gutted! I've been there & know how crap it feels. I hope you can get it fixed up under the insurance.

just read this post and me heart sank ...sorry to here your plight buddy.

i haven't got any spare bits but if i did i would help you out.

all the best and i hope the damage isnt too bad.

did you have an agreed valuation on the z seeing as it was on a classic policy??

:wack: feel wounded for you mucker i got spare wheels stock good boots lights indicators if needed post it up and you got it as all have said glad your ok :)

spoke to the insurance today

they want a quote from the bodyshop, thats gonna be next week some time,

i asked them about what if the car is a total loss

as i would only get market value for the zed, i did put a value on the insurance for £6k though,

i pointed out that on the market it would be very difficult to find a zed in mint condition like mine and with a kit tottaly unmarked ( was :smash: )

they said they would base it on a similar zed in mint condition and similar spec

sounds promising

dont know that one have a word with macca or another member of the comittee it might help it not not but worth a shot eigh!

Take time and go through the small print in yout insurance documents.

Found this paragraph in mine !

IF YOUR VEHICLE IS A TOTAL LOSS/BEYOND REPAIR:

It is common practise for the third party insurer to arrange to inspect your vehicle. Your vehicle will then be assesed and you will be informed of its pre-accident market value, less the salvage value. This may be lower than your valuation placed for insurance purposes. You are only entitled to claim the pre-accident market value, less the salvage, which means its value at the time of the accident.

If you do not agree with the valuation placed on your vehicle, it is your resposibility to provide evidence to support your own valuation. Regional trends may affect the valuation of your vehicle. We recommend you obtain local advertisements for similar vehicles, a description of your own vehicle conditionand any additional accessories purchased. It would also be helpfull to provide us with the original purchase receipt, current MOT and registration documents, with an indication of the registered mileage at the time of the accident.

So matey, A nice letter from someone in authority indicating how good your car was, a few copies of Zeds from the Autotrader, a well known and respected publication !! :x: List all you accessories etc and it may get you a few sheckles more.

A word of warning tho, make sure any accessories you list, the insurance know about already, if you know what I mean !! ;)

Hope this helps coz I typed it all out with the one fooking finger !! :)

Sorry to hear. I have six stock rims with tyres, a drivers mirror and stock rear lights. They are all yours if you need them. Just PM me where you would want them sent. I will even pay for postage so no worries.

I really feel for ya mate, must be painful.

I was lucky a few weeks back, the now ex-burd slid off the road and into a field but luckily no damage was caused, I was feeling ill just thinking about it.

Sorry to hear this mate, enough time and effort and you'll get her back the way you want her.. :) Keep your chin up....
