its for driving a really bad road in winter months! and to save every day wear and tear on the zed. come to think of it....scrap this thread for the moment and will start it again at the end of summer!! a hot little hatch is whats needed!! anything that gets me more than the 18mpg i get at the moment!! lol

Get yourself down the auctions and get a Grand Cherokee 4.0 Petrol with gas conversion, pick a good one up for £1500?

I bought a Rav-4 last year and I've still got it as it's actually a pretty good drive. I bought a V reg SWB with all gadgets, a/c, electric roof etc for £5k but you can find older much cheaper examples now.

 

OK it's probably crap off road but it drives like a car, grips very well in snow and ice and is "GTi-quick" Returns an average 28mpg too and I drive it quite hard.......

 

.....although on a long m-way run to Cornwall at 95-100mph it is no more efficient than my Z :wack:
