I can no longer borrow the computer I've been using so need a laptop for work - maybe this afternoon or tomorrow.

I only really use it for the internet, word processing, XL spreadsheets (quite big ones) - no games. I need wireless internet too.

Is PC World any good - can I just go there and buy one for £500 odd?

One of the Dell ones perhaps. You can buy online and they seem pretty good.

If you order one on line from dell it will take a week to get to you, but if you are desprate then go to PC world and you can walk away today with it, and yes they have one for under £500.00 with all the goodies you asked for..

Woolworths do a nice little job for about £400.

You can get an alright one from Tesco, if you don't care about make or performance. Shame you don't live near me, I can get 10% off anything at tesco (i work there!)
