Has it been designed specifically for the Z32, or is it one that just so happens to fit?

I have an autopower one for my SWB, the fit is excellent

Cool. :)

In that case, I'll put my interest down, final cost dependant.

I must say though that you should expect to maybe have to adjust/hack-into certain parts of dash or interior to fit these...as their designed to the chasis normally and not to suite the interior layout as you would expect these to be fitted to race cars which would already be stipped(not saying you will have to do this but be prepared)

Lemme know how you get on with prices :duffer:

ps..Jaffa...what version do you have fitted and did it involve much hacking?

as iam building a race car it wont bother me about the dash. as thats the only thing left in the car at the mo

should be very noisy when its back on the road

Good Man....

just got a e-mail back for shipping and its very cheap!!! what do you think

Shipping to the Heathrow airport for one bar would be between $200-$300. If you order 5 or more bars, we could offer an extra 10% discount for a group purchase. If you purchase 10 or more identical roll bars or cages, we could offer another 5% discount on top of the 10% discount.

If the roll bars and cages were ordered in quantity, we would have to explore other shipping options to try to keep the shipping cost down. Any way you look at shipping, it will be expensive as these bars are both large and heavy.

I have the rollbar for the SWB, had to cut a hole in the panel above the abs and the one on the opposite side.

Just checked my records, paid £200 for the bar+shipping, then a month later paid £286 for duty, vat and delivery from heathrow to east london

Damn, I'll be driving through California in a few weeks but a roll cage may not fit in my suitcase  . But then again, there's always the Missus's :D

jaffa can you e-mail me some pics of your cage and the mounting points !!! as i now have someone local who will build me a cage but just need to know where the best place to bolt to.

also he will make more if anyone else wants one !!! and they will be silly cheap he says around 200 or 300 very max

he makes cages for 4x4 and works next door to me :headvswal

mine's a SWB one so it won't help you much, but if someone is building your cage and has done them before he should know where best to mount it

If you are driving on roads with cages be careful of insurance. Insurance companies hate roll cages as people tend to bang their heads on them in crashes and so lots of companies wont pay out if you crash with a roll cage installed, especially if you hurt yourself.

Very Good point there...one that often gets overlooked

It was cheaper to have Noz installed and insured than it was a roll cage in the beemer :(

I ended up doing both but it pays to check first

Obviously maxsunny hasnt got to worry about this as his will be a drift/race car and i doubt itll be on the road ;)
