just say u wanted to up the boost on your stock tubs to the max that they could do safely, this would totally over max your stock injectors, so what im asking is, could you just put in bigger injectors so that there not maxed out

thx just wanted to know, dont know how the injector/airflow works.

yep stock injectors max out at 370hp, so you deffo need bigger injectors like nismo 555's etc depending on how far you wanna go

i know that mate, its hard to explain what im going on about, i will try again, you want to up your boost but your INJECTORS wont take it but everything else will, your only maxing out your injectors, say for example if you put 740 straight in and re did the chip would it run fine with the boost at the max you could put it safley with no problems

INFO:

Im running 16-17psi on 370cc injectors

93% usage on injectors...

Thats a bit too close for comfort for some so you may choose to up the injectors and get a matched chip ;)

HTH

cum on boffins, can any of you help, me + engines = :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

You could but you WONT gain BHP thats worth anything.

I was going to do that back in 2002 I was told by 2 people I have massive respect for not to waist my money.

Change to bigger turbos then yes its a must!

finally................................. thx big man, so it can be dun and the only gain you would get would be from the boost increase. ssssssssoooooooooooooo if i put 740 in my car what tubs could i run and what other mods will i have to do to get best bhp gain and best torque, soz if i keep going on boys but i carnt sleep and this is really making me think what im gunna do and what power i want to get to, i think i want 500bhp with great torque,

ok dude lets start again i understand wot your saying yes if you put bigger injectors and re did ecu thats fine you wont have any probs but also remember that bigger injectors perform badly at slow engine speeds and light throttle so dont go bigger then you need

thx mate that spot on

Karl you dont need to go 750cc injectors for 500bhp Nismo 555s will do the job.

There are many turbos out there to get 500bhp all depends how much you want to pay.

Nad I am running 850cc injectors ask Chris how well my car performs at low engine speeds. Its all down to the guy that mapped her.

Smooth as a freshly waxed miff :D

whats 500bhp at the flywheel on the wheels and whats 500bhp on the wheels at the flywheel.

to answer your question, yes you could. But, on stock turbos, they'd be minimal gains for the extra few psi you's be able to run. You'd need intercoolers and race gas to make a decent bhp increase.

If on the other hand it was part of a bigger upgrade path then go ahead, consider as a stepping stone rather than a power mod. Bigger tubs & intercoolers will be needed as well as the injectors to see significant gains.

That's why most people don't get bigger injectors and stay with upped boost as there's a lot of money involved before you start seeing any gains.

that's good then, but don't expect too much of a gain and you'll be alright. And at least you only have to worry about tubs later on.

I said that a few posts above;)

your right mate also you have bigger turbo's and all the right mods and mapping etc thats why your zed performs the way it does, wheres if someone was going to use bigger injectors on a stock car with minor bolt on mods it will effect overall performance

thx for all your in put guys, MAC can you pm mate after looking through my rides and mods section and tell what YOU think would be best for me to do to reach this power im looking for, 500bhp.

thx

Very true nad,its not about big turbos or big injectors.

Its about getting the whole balance right.

Ok but it wont be cheap, I had to cough up £1650 just for the clutch to handle the grunt :wack:
