Difference between HDTV and Normal TV (PAL) video clip

for those who still can't tell the difference from HDTV and Normal TV (PAL)

Here is a video clip to download with them side by side its got Pal at 30fps and HDV (High def video) at 30fps at 720p.

file about 80mb to download.

just follow the instruction on the link to download.

PS. try to look for the smallest/minor detail in the high def and see how much clearer/sharper it is :)

PPS: Who's got High Def TV on here and what are your views?

No HD signal on broadcast yet, so unless you got a Xbox360 I dont see the point.

Cant even get HD dvd's either.

Sky is going HD on a few premium channels but £400 for the box!!! ahhhhh

Ill wait till 2010 when BBC start to broadcast.

already got hd tv and THE MINUTE sky brings the box out i'll get one

THE WORLD CUP IN HD :hyper:

already usa has hdtv and their stuff is "available" ;)

playstaion 3 is going to be compatible, 2006 is going to be the year,

certainly think bbc etc will be before 2010, otherwise they are going to be years behind and millions lost

o.k. normally dvd/Tv is coded using (from what i can remember) 525 lines of information, the 720 means 720 lines of more thats 200 more lines of detail, but HD goes all the way up to a wopping 1080 lines that twice as clear and sharpness as normal dvd, but for you to enjoy that you need high def that can support it all the HD tv say they can play 1080 but are not true 1080, when they come out they will be expensive.

the letter at the end means i.e 720i (interlaced) 720p (progressive)

i can go on, but i wont bore you with some techinical c*ap.

ive got my hd plasma ready waiting for the kiss DP-600 player to release hopefully next month. then i can watch hd stuff direct using my external hdd pluged into the dvd players usb port, and it can upscale normal dvds to 720 or 1080 to give better details (this is not true hi def but makes alot of difference) as well as being able to play windows HD and divx HD.

PS there are places where you can get some movies in windows HD format (wma HD) and you can download HD content and watch it the plasma using kiss player.

Just ordered from the US Terminator 2 Extreem Edition on HDTV to play on my PC. I have seen a video clip of it on the Microsoft web site and it has an incredibly crisp and clear picture.

Had my 56" HD TV for around a couple of months now.Absolutly luv it.Also have a Denon amp to run a 7.1 surround sound speaker system.I have also got the Denon dvd player that upscales any dvd upto 1080.Stuning set up for a wrinkly I know but I like me toys :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Cant wait for Sky to release their Hi Def box and transmissions

56" HD TV  How much did that set you back?

I have a small crackly black and white TV and mainly listen to a wireless.

Sometimes I winter with my great aunt in Guildford, Vim under the sink and both bars on.

Dont ask LOL.Been trying to train "Her In Draws" to go round with the torch and pop-corn but to no avail. :D
