Has anybody on here experienced problems with Ebay lightened pulley??

I am wanting to replace my main crank pulley with a lighter one, on Ebay I have seen them for £30 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4605910528&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT But been advised that they can be un balanced and noisey. I have also seen them on Smithys site for £125 upwards, but his do come with belts : SGP & Unorthodox Lite Weight Pulley's

With the stock Crank pulley weighing in at just over 13lb this new SGP racing Anodised Silver colour light weight pulley weighs a little over 2lb allowing for more potential BHP, A very simple to install and cost effective mod, Twinturbo's will rev quicker making for faster turbo spool up whilst normally aspirated Zeds will benefit with more low end grunt. and this price includes 3 new drive belts too ! Unorthodox version available for extra, FULL 4 piece pulley set also available

SGP Pulley's £125 PER003

Unorthodox Pulley's £140 PER004

Full 4 Peice Pulley Set £240 PER005

Any advice is apprieciated

Well advisable to spend 10mins in the search function for "Underdrive pulley" and "SGP" on here and especially twinturbo.net where shit loads more are bought mate. :)

Yes mate, I had one fitted for about 2 months. I couldnt stop the belts squeeling even after i eventually found a set of belts that fitted.

Also when i removed it and fitted the SGP pulley, a quick comparision showed that the tracks for the belts were a good 1cm out  The quality was miles different too. I suppose you wouldnt notice unless you put the two together.

Just looked at that ebay link, its the same guy i bought mine from...

I would not fit any pulley other than unorthadox full stop out of all the ones tested these are the best balanced I have seen some which are as much as 7 grams out of balance does not sound alot but at 6krpm is a massive amount, unorthadox always seem to be well below a gram out
