NZR - Postage costs to Republic of Ireland?

Does anyone know the best (ie: cheapest :D ) method of sending a parcel (approx 2kg) to the ROI? Have tried the Post Office web site but not had much joy :(

 

Any tips appreciated!

    i had to send a item over tried several couriers and they all wanted around £40 so i sent it via royal mail international signed for insured for £100 and it cost around £10.50
