so 2day before i started off on my little trip i topped up the oil then went for a trip to bangor

 

then 2 anglesey to my grans for dinner :hyper: :bow:

 

something in my gut says have a look under the bonnet, or was it my empty stomach rumbling :D

 

so after my fill :D thanks gran :bow: went to bangor again then home,

 

when i got out of the zed noticed bit of smoke from engine bay and burnt oil smell :rant:

 

opened the bonet and ffs there was the oil cap sitting on top of the engine bay and oil splashed all over my shinny new engine :rant:

 

forgot to screw it back in, god knows how i didnt loose it on my 40mile trip :bow:

 

better listen to my gut feeling next time :D

I never ignor my guts mate. i used to but after learning the hard way I have found my instincts to be rather uncanny and now they get full attention when they shout at me. :bow:

Have done that myself but only in the van. That was bad enough.

I have done that before and its amazing how the cap stays there.
