switched on my ps2 2day to play gt4 but got the message corrupt game data :headvswal :headvswal

 

been playing the game everyday for bout 4months now :rant:

 

little bro was last to play on it he say's he played arcade mode only then switched it off :o

 

needles to say im really :rant: :rant: bout loosing all my hard work, what would have caused this then??

The only thing i can think of is power faliure during read/write of the memory card.

 

That's bad news dude, gutted for you :(

its caused by an error in gt4, basically if you have the instant save thingy switched on it writes to the memory card to much and ultimately ends up corrupting itself

 

the best thing is to turn off auto save and save manually.

i had that with grand theft auto san andreas i was playing that for weeks and then the same message as urs.

Send me your memory card and I will put on my GT4 data, can't remember how far I have got but I could copy it for you?

Did the same on GTA Vice city... at least you get you're moneys worth by playing it twice!!!

ive just got 100% on my gt4 so i think i might back the data up on a second memory card :eek: :eek:
