on my previous Z it was simple - remove the screw at the bottom of the mirror - but on my current Z (97NA) there's no screw, either side. And judging by the look of the hole, there's never been a screw in there (no pun intended).

Have Nissan changed the way the glass is removed on later models?

Anyone know how to remove the glass?

I'm trying to get to the retaining screws that hold the plastic surround - need to replace a broken one.

Any ideas/help always appreciated.

Yes there are slight differences between mirrors, your miror glass is fixed to the motor platform by ball clips, they do just unclip but are very hard to release, the whole glass needs pulling away from the motor base in a clean steady pull, know it will feel like it will break but it will come off, do try to get your fingers or a lever as far around the back as possible to spread the pull load.

Jeff - many thanks (as always) for the info. I'll give it a try.
