Right thought i'd put up a very rough draft for the planned Euro trip.

 

 

Get into Cologne for 19th June spend 48 hours there taking in the England Football Beer festivle then onto the ring which is only 55 miles from Cologne

 

Few days around the ring then free to do what ever else, those are my basic ideas for now. If we can all agree on this then i'll start looking at the ferrys, earlier we book the cheaper it is

 

The Ferry is working out about £125 each return this includes a inside cabin to kip in

 

I spent almost that getting to Dover & back so £125 is a cracking price, we'll need to book within the next month though i'd say.

I'm going to drive up and park in the car park at the port. I should be there a fair bit before 5, hopefully, as I'm going to have to leave quite early just in case there are hold-ups on the way up.

 

If we have to check in at 5, meeting up at 4:30-5 seems to be cutting it a bit fine though. ;)

Well It's not to be. Mind you the Balistic brick will still do 160mph has arm chairs for seats ice cold climate control and they generally don't break down, but it handles like a flat bottomed boat.

 

Oh yes for you mechanical geniouses it suddenly will not idle makes a hissing noise when throttled up anf apperes to be over fueling? litterally one minute fine and dandy next fubar.

Woohoo! I just finished fitting the water pump at 9pm LOL :hyper:

Seems fine after a doing a few miles. Would have liked to do a longer drive but no time, spent 2 days sorting this when I should have been getting ready for the trip.

All because the Grasshopper muppets fitted an old pump and a belt that was so tight the alternator was on its minimum adjustment and still overtight, shagging the bearings!

I was planning on just coming up the M1, onto the M18, then M62 and following the signs to the docks. It's probably easiest to meet in the car park (I'll be in a dark blue/grey MG ZTT estate), unless my planned route is wrong! ;)

I haven't seen the ticket - kirbz has it. I assumed it was Hull - Zeebrugge because of this post - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=612325&postcount=314

 

Kirbz also mentioned that the ship sails at 7pm. The Zeebrugge one sails at 7 and the Rotterdam one sails at 9 according to the P&O site.

and were all sailing from hull to zeebrugge not rotterdam as there was not enough space on the boat so we had to change the plans ;)

Knew this would happen, ferry spaces are either going or gone. We now have to sail to Zebrugger which is no problem and the fare is £20 more, You all need to book this ASAP (TODAY)

I'm giving Mac a lift and expect to be at the ferry terminal around 5 ish.

 

Few reminders:

 

Can you all please check with your mobile provider that you have international roaming set up so that you can use your phones abroad!

Sounds silly but last time we got over to Belgium and out of about 10 of us there were only 2 or 3 phones working and I ended up lending my phone to everyone!

 

It's worth us all swapping numbers in case anyone gets lost.

Don't forget to change the international code in your stored numbers ;)
