How many of you guys are insured fully comp?

My insurance is due & I was wondering if fully comp insurance is actually worth the money they charge. My renewal is around £650 for a second car with limited mileage.

My natural plan of action would always be full comp. However, after a few things that have happend recently I begin to wonder if its worth it. For instance if i have a major bang they will only offer me £2500 for the car  , which really pi55es me off when they ask how much the car is worth when you take the insurance out in the first place.

Im with Houghtons ATM & they have been quite good at dealing with things in the past. However I think its Chaucer that underwright most of these kinda cars, no matter what agent you use. So ultimately does it make a differance who you go to?

Just wondered what the general thoughts on this were, as im about to use the Zed as my daily driver.

with Broadsure from our affiliated traders section

im fully comp just re insured with norwhich union it worked out cheaper full comp than tpft :x:

im fully comp with the aa just over 300 if i remember rightly thats with no excess at all.. helps to be a member also.

fully comp with both of mine. comes to about £1400 total for both. It'd only be a couple hundred less if I went TPFT.

Fully comp on a classic policy with agreed mileage and valuation. £330, car kept on drive.

Fully comp both cars and business use also - Bell Direct lets you have full ncb on the second car also where a lot of other insurers want to start the ncb clock again

Full comp :D for £237 but then i am 41....:x: and she is a 2nd car ;)

Just renewd with Norwich Union for £508 Fully comp with mods declared & 14 months roadside assist & recovery. This is as a daily driver so no limitations on mileage. Houghtons wanted £650 as second car with 5000 mile limit. So much for club discount!

They are no longer our Club Insurer

do we have a club insurer, if so who is it?

Yes, fully comp on the car - £512, prot NCB, value of £9000, different wheels.

I'm TPF&T on my bike - it's not worth enough to be worth claiming after the excess and the future loading of the premium.

Im fully comp with admiral (the only people who would insure me  ) costs £1500 in my own name, saved £300 because my dads the second driver :hyper:

Fully Comp £360, with all mods declared (thats when my rebuild is done) Garaged with 5000miles limited

TPFT on the daily shagwagon

I was ALWAYS fully comp on my bikes!
