Yeah the original clocks were J-spec (cheers to Slick Pete  ).

I'm led to believe thet either a 20K or 22K resistor will give the required range for re-calibration in conjunction with the existing potentiometer.

I think Andyz was selling similar dials very nice indeed.

Could you leave the normal bulbs in place behind the clocks so that they would illuminate the needles? Just a thought.

That's exactly what I'll be doing - I just illuminated the gauges on the bench in workshops and didn't bother powering the original bulbs.

Is it possible to get UK clocks to be accurate with a 160mph max like those dials have?

Not sure mate. You would have to try adjusting the pot on the speedo PCB, whilst driving, with an accurate GPS readout for comparison

Try a search on speedo and re-calibration etc.

couldn't recommend the ebayer could you??

Be very careful when removing the needle pointers. If the shaft comes out of the galvo at all then you may as well bin them as I had to :headvswal

The best way is to grip the steel shaft with some narrow needle nose pliers then prise the pointer off with a knife or something. It may be best to get someone to help you out as it's not easy!
