i just ordered 100w dipped and 100w main beam bulbs, plus 2 55w fogs, plus the converters so they're plug and play.. so i hope they will improve the lights... i have also had the full headlights out, stripped, cleaned and re-sealed, so if this doesnt make a difference then i dont know what will..

i'll get pics soon, they should be in and working by friday night..

Tip Top Tyres down Scotswood Road in Newcastle - Eagle F1s were cheaper than BlackCircle by £15 for the front corners and £25 for the rears!

I can only find Tip Top Tyres under the below address, do you think this is the right one?

it is a quite involved peocess but i really needs to be done just do a search for headlight removal and failing that i hope someone will post the way to it.

Hi,

You can get an adaptor for the aerial from a ICE shop if you want to make your life easier!

I got the Xtreme White Xenon bulbs from Danny at DTA Motorsport, the 100watt ones and apparently his are alot brighter than the standard ones but mine seem really really bad :(

Any ideas

Hi Lee,

I'm sorry you're having difficulties with the bulbs I supplied.

From my own experience (and feedback received from six fellow ZX owners who are now running these bulbs) the difference is quite significant (in a positive sense, of course) and none of them have experienced the problems you are having.

As I said on the phone to you last night I expect you are suffering from a lack of voltage at the bulbs and now that I've seen the pics I also suspect that (a) the bulbs aren't seated correctly and (b) the inside of the lights are dirty. Particularly point (b) will have a drastic effect on the amount of light leaving the headlights. Even if you'd install an HID kit you wouldn't see much improvement.

See if you can sort out what has already been suggested here and then get back to me. The bulbs are fit for purpose and do exactly what they say on the "tin".

Good luck,

Dan

Hi Danny, Ive been to my friends garage today, the bulbs are in correctly, we done the light on the wall test and no light was even reaching the wall (or not visable anyway).

The problem is lack of voltage at the bulbs, to sort it i'd need to increase it but as im useless and cant afford to keep spending money i think im going to just have to back to the normal 55w bulbs, As you had said it should have been a straight swap but its not :(

Any chance of swapping them?

Aye.

Been there and got a couple of pot1's or whatever they are called, they weren't that cheap though,

£30 each for the rears and then just didn't bother about the fronts as they aren't desperate.

The rears were very very smooth though :D

Ok, I know this is a dumb question but I got the bulb out of the housing, but I can't get the connector from the bulb! Can anyone tell me how to change them as it's driving me crazy!

P.S. Sorry for hijacking the thread!

Its no problem, if you can get the bulb out just follow the wire coming from the bulb down about 5inches and there should be a spade connector, should just pull out

For the aerial mate you can just push a standard plug which you normally get with a stereo onto that 2 pin thing, one pin go's down the middle the other touches the side of the aerial plug, its what has been done to mine and it works fine.
