Does Any Body Know How To Tell By Looking At The Engine If It Is Variable Valve Timming Or Not.

I Am Changing Engine For Later One But Harness Is Different I Am Now Considering Leaving My Harness On But With The New One Being Different Could Be A Non Vvt I Was Told It Was From A 1995.

If It Is Non Vvt I Dont Think My Harness 1991 Vvt Would Fit ?

Any Body Out There Have A Clue

Please

yep on the back of the engine each side where the cams line up to it you will see two small cylinders. these are solenoids for the vvt. if they are not there it hasn't got them. you will also see a couple of white electrical harnesses connected to them. the main connector for them is near the det sensor connector so you should be able to follow the leads to get to them. hope this helps

thanks very much lads

the engine is a vvt

rang zen garage(thanks for the number)very helpfull

i had a guy round yesterday who told me to use my harness ,cut and solder injectoin connectors off new harness onto mine and a big valve off back of engine plus 2 pipes which go from there all way round each side of engine to under front of rocker cover plus a few more bits
