go to Boots and buy some clove oil and some cotton wool - soak the cotton wool in the oil and bite down on it with the bad tooth (not too hard!!).

Tastes like shite but eases the pain!

Thanks Rich...

Try tincture of cloves, rub this on your tooth and it should do the job (assuming you can still get it). Ask slick pete, hes a chemist, but in the mean time this will get you by.

Just bought some Nurofen Plus which has Ibuprofen and Codeine, think thats the strongest im going to get over the counter.

try a glass of whisky small glass hold in the mouth , if its just a tooth caviatie will numb pain till you go to dentisit , but if its an ulcer dont take , it will make it a whole lot worse, ,, way to tell is if the tooth in qestion has badly swolen gum around it

try swilling the tooth with salty water it worked for me, and no jokes about salty things in your mouth please lol

Thanks everyone, I went to the dentist this morning regarding the pain and they opened the tooth up and put an antibiotic in the tooth and they have givin me antibiotics to swallow. Cant belive it still hurts, think I have to wait for the antibiotics to kick in.

Salt water mouth wash or

I have been told puttin whiskey on the area helps, rub it into ya gum

I use toothpaste, not a joke, cover the painful area in it, works for me

HTH

I don't envy you bud, its so horrible.

Mike

:wack: whisky works so does toothpaste but the one i found best is bonjella you give it to babys when teething and you can get it in your local spar pr good corner shop :wack:

My aunty is a nurse and says the salt water in lukewarm water should ease pain if you don't have proper anti-biotics or pain killers.

Clove of oil works best as it numbs the gum area where you get tooth ache and act's like an anestetic... If that fails ask Macca to help!! :mac1:

Thanks everyone, I had no sleep last night and it still hurts, my dentist told me that it takes two days for the anti biotics to kick in,
