Power Steering Belt Problems, Help!!

Last week my 300zx TT fan belt broke. To cut a long story short we got it to a local garage (not Nissan) who also replaced the other two belts. Since then it keeps chucking the power steering belt, we are now on the third one and it's gone again after under 20 miles. I am getting pissed with the garage and they no doubt feel the same about me. They maintain they're doing it right, I say they aren't.

Is there anything that they can be doing wrong?

Any suggestions b4 I go back ranting would be appreciated. :(

They cant be doing it rite if it keeps throwing it. Check the nissan belt part numbers and make sure its all the same as it should be.

Id make the garage finnish the job properly they were paid to do.

Could it be a bad pulley (damaged ridges, bearing, etc)? Has the power steering pump been removed in the past and maybe put back with washers in the wrong place (causing it to be out of line with the crank pulley)? Have you got an underdrive pulley which would mean they were fitting the wrong belt?

sounds like whatever caused the belt to break in the first place is still evident - and cos the belt is new, instead of snapping, it's just dislodging it...

Good luck

Got another belt from nissan this morning, the old one is alot longer then the nissan one, thats obviously why its been slipping off. I'll find out tomoro when they fix it again.
