Me and the missus out in the Z I was really enjoying the drive when on a roundabout the car in the lane to the left of me decided they where in the wrong lane and drove right into the passenger side, broke the mirror now its just hanging on, scraped down the side and drove off. The roundabout has camera surveylance luckily, all I know it was a white MK2 Fiesta :mad: I have reported it to the police and I have to go to the station tommorow with all my documents and the Z, as its just body damage (still drivable) Luckily me or the missus was not hurt, but fookin hell. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

End of the day though lane dicipline isn't hard, and on a roundabout you can just keep on going round until a safe and convienient lane changing opportunity arises! Good luck with recovering the cost of the damage bud!

If I had chased him I would of had to cut across 2 lanes of traffic, risking another serious accident so I thought the safest thing to do was carry on in the lane I was in and when safe to do so pull over then leg it up to where it happened to see if they had pulled in. I did'nt fancy causing anybody else to crash specially before new years day.

Sorry to hear your news mate.

Just taken a look at the damage with a torch and you can see the rub marks on the passenger door where the fiestas wheel actualy rubbed alongside the door :eek: :eek: and the mirror is still intact but hanging on with the elecrical wire and its been snapped off at a cast metal collar, I cannot see any major dents just a lot of deep scratches and a gauge in the sill :eek:

Found a N/S electric folding mirror on Ebay in Gun Metal grey, just incase they dont report the accident but its starting at £30 plus £8.00 p/p is this a fair starting price and does anybody on here have a N/S electric folding mirror just in case?? Thanks in advance. P.s I would prefer a metallic black mirror if poss.

I had a few people offer me replacements for mine when a little twat kid broke mine this week and very grateful I am too. I have also noticed these and have bought some anyway. for the price they might be made of cardboard but hey! you take your chances with E bay dont you....

Just been out and looked at the damage and it looks like I got off very lightly it seems most of the scrapes is just the fiestas white paint, that I can T-Cut out and no dents. I will be needing a new mirror though which I can get. I am very relived any way while your all recovering from your hangovers I am off down the Police station.
