Hi all i was just about to carry on a piece of coursework at home but for some reason i cant access the 'removable disk' this images appears:

does someone knwo what might have happend with it? i need to get all the work which in there as ther is a bunch of coursework which i need. please someone help.

I fear it could be worse than that its dead jim! I hope i am wrong. try it in another computer and if you get the same its dead mate.

tried on about 3 computers and all the same. am peed coz i need ma coursework and my sister is gona be more peed coz da mp3 was hers. lok like am goan have to buy her another xmas pressie. lol

I never had this I/O error in Windows XP until today but that was caused by a bad floppy disk. If you right-click My Computer, choose "manage" then click on "Disk management", you should get something like this if it's working :-

Might be worth running a recovery utility on it. PC file recovery has worked well for me:-
