Why do most of the ads in autotrader look like the seller took a photo as they walked away. Most common pic is the big long nose . Car looks awful. even some private sellers seem to have no imagination when selling their car.

 

I can never understand it. A beautiful looking car photographed like some astra or focus. To me the best photo is the rear 3/4 view. No-one bothers though, just take any old pic. it's just not on :rant: :D

IMHO Autotrader in Scotland is a total waste of money!! .. I've put a handfull of motors on it over the years and had nothing but tossers waste my time.. Pix are taken by a blind blokes dog and the wording of your add is changed to fit the hole in the page.. You'd be better of with a bill board I recon :)

Motor Traders in general are inherently lazy. So never make any real effort with selling cars. Most beleive(albeit wrongly) that they have the best cars in the world for sale and dont feel the need to even get up from their desk to actually do anything.

Their idea of a hard days work is to sit at an auction sipping coffee from plastic cups and ocasinally nodding or flicking their copy of Glass's guide at the auctioneer.

I've been searching the zed adverts for weeks now and not ONE of them looks particularly tempting. They find the absolute worst ways to take pictures, and as for how much information they include in their advert it's ridiculous. Good luck finding out if it's a manual or auto let alone whether it's an import.

I Know what you're saying Pete,and so true. but it still doesn't excuse private sellers.

9 out of 10 people who rang about my car made appointments and never turned up when it was in the Autotrader. I later received a courtesy call in which the caller put a lot of emphasis on the question "Have you had many calls sir?" I reckon it was the same tw@t who made the 9 appointments cause I've never had that problem before or since. Waste of money if you ask me. Stick to the local rag IMHO.

i Prefer the car shot from the rear like the attached ! The dorks who photograph them usually dont have 5 minutes to take the photo or the details and hence the adds are crap :D
