jeff me old mate they get you now on the registration number of the car at renewal, they told me it was not on the U.K. database therfore asking me if it was an import, i tried all the spiel, like i thought they all came from japan and i dont really know where it came from. no good though. so good luck. let me know how you get on in april. "t".....

How do they work out these prices, two weeks ago i was insured by Firebond, paid around £300,i have no noclaims and the car is on 18s whats going on i thought all Zs were equil.Chas

I'm quoted through firebond £2000

20 with no noclaims 3 years driving and no connvictions,

thats for a UK spec, they are using sabre as to underwrite the insurance

Mike

I've got my insurance with direct line £548, fully comp that's with no convictions and full NCB and it's a UK car. Mind you, the csr has to have an approved alarm system.

I did ring some insurance companies but there was not much in it.

Guys,

Try TESCO, suprisingly good and don't mind imports, they insure me and were the cheapest dispite my coloured driving history

Try A-Plan on 0845 0711234

Import with body and engine mods declared.

I'm 30 with full no claims but 10 points for speeding.

£650 squids ish.

I'm getting jealeous. How on earth did you ever get £299. As a 40+ ish old fart with wife and kid and an unmodifed UK spec car and a clean license (thanks to Valentine One) i'm paying £ 530 per year although I do have protected no claims.

Any recommendations for a better broker
