Well I took the plunge and got a set of these from Ebay.

Really fast delivery, ordered Wednesday and they arrived Friday from Australia!

They seem good quality to me, (connectors etc.) and were a doddle to fit this afternoon. All I had to do was change one spade connector to a bullet connector on each light.

I'll wait until it is proper dark and go and give them a test drive and let you know what I think.

Only time will tell as to their durability!

Dipped beam is H3(Uk) or H3c(Jap), but for fitting HID's, just get H3

Main Beam is H1 (I think)

Yay!! I can see!!!

They are a VAST improvment over standard!

I don't think they are aligned properly though, does anyone have the headlight alignment data handy, e.g now high the light should be up a wall and how far away from the wall the car should be?

Wont your local MOT station set them up for you for a small fee?

I could be wrong, but isn't that for LHD? As the beam patten is supposed to be to the left, and not the right (as in the diagram).

attachment.php?attachmentid=15336&stc=1 Looks like :x:

Ordered one of those £120 BUY-IT-NOW ebay HID kits with H3 lamps. Its gonna be great to see beyond 20m in front of my Zed in the dark!

Very tempting. Was driving through Dorset early Saturday evening, and it was a frankly horrifying experience. Can't believe how kak the stock headlights are. Dipped is terrible, although they're fine on main beam, but how often do you get to use that?

Am tempted to order a set of these, has anyone got anything neg. to say about them

i am so tempted to bud, but for sum reason sumthing is telling me to buy them from chris greddy dont know why and i know its an extra 130 quid but at least you get warrenty with them, i would like to see pic first of quality and distance.

so when you get time get pic up mate

Am tempted to order a set of these, has anyone got anything neg. to say about them

nothing at all at moment only took couple days to arrive and 10 mins to fit, trying to find a place to fit ballast boxs is proberly the hardest bit in the whole process but again theres few different places to mount boxs and between the headlight panel seems to be the easiest hth

dont go above 8000k otherwise u will loose a lot of light into the road

really how cum mate

personally i wouldn't go any higher then 8000k, because the hole point in getting a hid kit is more visability most peeps go for 6000k which gives a diamond white effect, i went for a 8000k because it gives a crisp white/blue light output which looks really bling and makes big difference but it gives slightly less light output then 6000k, any higher then 8000k and it will be more purple and effect visability dramaticly

The 8000 kit as i want a blue tint and i believe over that too blue less light and chance off being pulled,(from what i've heard and read).

£136 looks good to me and the seller has some good other stuff at good prices so i'll probably take a chance.I dont normally and just hope i dont regret it!

Hmmm, i might go for the set NismoUK went with.

How are they up to now bud? any problems?

Nope, no problems so far touch wood.

I am very pleased with them all round.

The delivery from Oz was only 2 days!

As nad said, the only slighty tricky bit is finding a mounting place for the ballast boxes.

Anything over 4500k reduces light output by changing its colour.

4500k is the diamond white output, as is the most efficient for lighting. new cars like high-end Bmw's have this rating - 3200 lm

6000k has slightly less output and adds a blue tint to it. - 2800 lm

8000k adds a stronger blue/purple tint - 2600 lm

10000k is starting to get purple - 2300 lm

Well I took the plunge and got a set of these from Ebay.
