Hi, I bought Karlosg's car.

The engine has just been run in after having forged pistons, re-worked heads etc & I've had the fuelling mapped for up to 22psi!

I've been running it at around 14psi until today when I wound it up to 16.5psi!!!

The torque is unbelievable. Once those turbos kick in it feels like you've got a jet engine strapped to the back of the car, Lol.

I'm not even sure what the turbos are but they're capable of running 22psi reliably, or so I'm told!

The exhaust!!!! :x: To say it's a bit loud would be a major understatement! It's fookin mental! :D I think my popularity with the neighbours is about to take a nose dive :o

No, not sure what they are TBH, all I know is that they've been reconditioned and are capable of 22psi :confused:

I'd have felt a bit better knowing exactly what they are.

Get a Veilside Evolution exhaust. Superb note, none obtrustive and fantastic quality. Subtle looks too. :)

glad ur enjoyin her bud ..yeah funksi , had just come outta the bodyshop too but needs must and now got new toy and a 7 seater for the kids and mrs so all good. and yep exhaust can be a bit on the loud side but take it back to leon at alunox and he will sort it for u bud if u find it too loud...Also ask chunk how he finds it as he has the same zorst.

LOL Shaun you heard mine the other week and its the same as yours.But dont forgett mines a SWB so its proberbly louder in the cab.

Its a little worying at firstbut but believe me you will grow to love it,its awesome when it starts to rasp.

td05 16gs is correct also when they were fitted custom oil lines were made for the turbo feeds!

 

as the housing was to big to accomadate the stock oil feeds so yes i can say they are td05 16gs.which you should of been told when you bought the car ;) capable of 22psi not a problem,although with that rear diff anymore power is overkill :rofl: :D

My zorst is similar to what is on yours/shauns, but shorter, hence louder, hence, pardon!! :D

I might just do that as the coppers in North Wales have nothing better to do than pull motorists over for FA! Also, I think I'll have to change that front plate :(

 

I took my brother DaveMac for a spin last night & he couldn't get over just how quick it was & I only ran it at 16psi! Can't wait for a dry day :hyper:

 

Greg, Ryan who supplied the turbos seemed to think that they were smaller than the TD05-16G's ? Now I'm really :confused: Lol.

 

Perhaps I'll get used to the exhaust but I doubt the neighbours will, Lol.

Insurance is £410 a year using classic cover. That's with power of 400bhp declared. Of course the power depends on the boost controller setting ;)

Karlos's car is a higher spec than mine, I really cant imagine anything faster than mine being able to stay in a straight line in 1st, 2nd and 3rd....it must be mad!!! :D

Funny you should say that, the torque is the most amazing thing! It pulls like a train in any gear.

 

It is quite scary but the traction control keeps you safe in the wet ;)
