:( I am crying in tears trying to type this. Sadly today I have crashed my zed. :(

I am ok... and before anyone makes a nice post.... I want to let you all know its not a terrible accident either...

the front end of my zed is now in need of well a new one.

There was a dog (unleashed) roaming around... it suddenly decided to make a sprint across the road where I was. Being a animal friendly kinda guy I am I decided not to hit it and take action to avoid it. I pulled hard to the left (curb aprox 1.5 feet high) and hit that. I hopped the curb and my font end didnt like it. My front bumper was ripped half way under my car.

No for the dog.. it decided with it great brush of death to take things easy.. as it went from sprinting to walking... as if nothing happened. :rant:

If I could only locate the owner :headvswal I would shove there head in a wall.

Well there are many possitives. (and this is what i am thinking preventing me from going mad.) I can get that body kit that I wanted. (well find a body kit) and I no longer need to worrie about those fading bits under the headlights. ( I was going to have to flash over them with a bit of pain as it was very faded.)

So Now onto Zed world... and all the links I paid to find easy with my membership..

Anyway.. if you have a dog... great.... be kind.. put the DAMN thing on a leash.

Ohhh.... gutting mate.

Glad to hear that you and the dog are OK - could've been so much worse.

Where did you find an 18" curb? And if you mounted it then i would make sure that there isn't more damage, steering linkages etc bud! Glad to hear no-one / nothing was hurt. And looking at the positives is the best way mate, you now have an excuse to get that new bodykit you wanted!

I thank everyone. I am luckly doing a college course on body repair... so welding fiberglass and painting.... we have all the facilities to do it there...so luckly the cost of painting and proper fitting wont be a issue....

the cost of the bumpers is.. i found a couple of body kits...

if any of you have a fast car mag see a company called bad boys... they sell a complete body kit for 600£ that appears identical to the one that zworld are selling just the front bumper for 370£.. hmmmm i am a bit suspicious...

I am after a nice kit... if I only get the bumper for now than that is ok.. but I think i should just get a full body kit and be done with it..... i just picked up my new wheels from paulturboz. (thanks bud)

and they need to have a good body kit to go with them i think.

anyway......... trolling around the web so if any of you have ordered a body kit.. cheap if poss.. and good.. let me know.. i want to order asap.

Sorry to hear it. Some dog owners need sorting. If they are not letting their dogs loose then they are letting them sh*t all over the pavements.

soory to har the bad news. but want to try find the owner's of the dog as it is possable to claim off them for the damage. was there any whitnesses? happened to a while ago, not in the zed though. and they paid for the damage soon as i said about getting the police/insurance involved

Same happened to me in a kitted Manta , a dog ran out in front of me and i hit it , it was about the same size as a labrador and made a real mess of my car, smashed the fibreglass bumper , broke the twin headlights, bent the wing and front valance , the dog rolled down the road for 20 yards ,got up and ran away :headvswal .

I spoke to the police and they said : If i could trace the owner i should be able to claim off their house insurance . Yeah wots the chance of that eh ! :rant: :rant: :rant:

Cant claim... no owner in site.. my mate was in the car with me.. (duncan) as some of you met on the last cruise...

 

The viper kit is what I am after now.. hmmmmmmm it will go well with my wheels from turboz.... which are now fitted. horrah!!!!!! :hyper:
