Hi guys,

as many of you know ive had a few probs with the zed since ive bought it.

On saturday morning i went to stellaZ's house and he and Cadpaul had a look over the zed and did an ECU check for me!

it came up with error code 34 which is a det sensor.

now here's a question for the auto drivers out there:

when driving does the car rev highly whilest trying to put your toe down slightly.

I need some new pipes at the front on the engine, doj you think this may be whats causing the over revving??

Please help if you know :D

Only if you,ve pressed the pedal too much and the power light comes on , it,ll rev high before changing gear, ( if its a jap tt ) if this happens i just quickly flick the power switch on the console on and off to knock the light out, Its a PITA when your in traffic

What are you calling high revvs. If mine(Jap TT) is a bit cold it may ,when stopped at a light rev a bit over 1k but not while driving.

you really need to get someone who has an auto to drive it, they will be able to tell you straight away if its slippping or not

maybe push for a local meet, but i think most of the ne lads that are local all have manly manuals lol

why i everybody on this guys case about subscribing, jesus, it doesnt make us look very good does it!

Just driving normally in traffic , using the go pedal very lightly , it changes very quickly , hardly revving much inbetween gears.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery and letting the gearbox ECU reset .I don,t know if this actually does anything  , I,m sure if i,m wrong one of the tech guys  will put me right. :D :D

i've a non turbo auto and i doubt it has anything to do withe the pipe's (which ever one's it is your on about) i think i understand what it is your saying about the revving thing and if my zeds anything to go by then its fairly normal, obviously if you slap your foot down then it will rev massivly before it pulls though in this weather i'm driving with the overdrive on and the auto switch in the hold position as otherwise it just smokes the tyres! anyway with the car in the hold position it revs less and changes earlier making it alot smoother to drive. the thing is that zeds are not little 1.1/1.4 auto micra's or corsa's, their 3 litre powerhouses that want to rev and drive so a small press on the thottle results in much more power and autos do lag a tad before pulling hence the reason why manuals are faster. shame you don't live closer else i'd say pop over and take mine for a spin to compare

hey guys, ive been over to mujinas house tonight, he's had a drive of the car and was impressed with its . . . . . . lack of performance

yes i know its not funny but trying to make a joke of it lol :D

Now he thinks it the throttle cable being slack (which it is  )

So i will try and get that done within the next couple of days and ill let you know how that goes (of course)

He also thinks ithat my performance problems maybe the gear box dying  :headvswal

now he's not sure as doesn't know a lot about auto's so ill have to take it to a transmission place asap to find out

Im just hoping its not the dreaded dead box :x:
