turbo timers! important?

Hi, ive been useing my turbo timer(its an HKS with 1/2, 1, 3& 5 min settings) i usually just leave it on for 3 mins.

how important are timers and how long should i leave it on for.

    important mate lets the turbos cool

    when engine is switch off there no oil feed to the turbos so let it run for awhile allows them to cool with the oil feed to them 3minis good hth
