FFS I'm looking for a base unit and a base unit only!

 

Anyone know any decent websites where the individual components are well catered for?

 

I don't want surround sound speakers...get 'em...I don't want a fookin' printer...got one! All I want is a base unit and a nice flat panel 19/21" TFT monitor but all I seem to keep seeing is sodding packages!!!!!!!! :headvswal

I'm possibly after a base unit only in the New Year - what's on offer???

It'll be a 2nd PC for the kids and will be used for games, MSN, downloading and burning music(MP3) and general homework( :rofl: :rofl: ) use :D

I'm not really interested in building my own, I just wanna browse any sites that don't offer packages and will just sell you a base unit ready built. I don't want a pile of hassle basically.

 

Main features are a fast processor possibly dual core HT etc. 5.1 surround sound and a half decent graphics card. Card reader and USB2.0/Firewire ports would be nice. HDD about 140/160 Gig SATA.

Sorry PK but unless you can match that spec for cheaper including the media bay etc. then that's the one for me. It's exactly what I'm looking for TBH. Nothing personal bud! ;)

yes i know all about the preference of amd to p4 however if he wants amd he can have amd , just offering what i have at hand..

 

as for prices.. mine are vey good in comparison.. but im never asked..

 

64 bit motherboards for under 40, 512mb ram cheaper than scan,mesh or aria, drives cheaper, peripherals cheaper.. hows that then.. because members get a discount..

 

same with cases ,screens, etc.. but you dont wanna know that..

 

also my basic 64bit system with all the trimmings is only 500 quid, and that beats everyone else, on the machine spec,ram, drives, screen specs, surround system, and other items all pre built set up and authed.. oh and its amd..with media bays...
