We have general discussion forum?

its been discussed many times, general feeling was it would take too much discussion off the board

The usefulness of a forum is that conversations can happen in (almost) real time however the information is stored and already indexed due to the way it's layed out. This means it can be viewed easily a long time after the event, and is searchable.

you mean a live chat one......think its a great idea as long as its not subscribed members only as im never going to do that

There is always MSN etc Loads of people use that and there is a thread somewhere listing everyones names.

WHY?

as i got rid of my z over 2 years ago now i just come on here to chat with my old z buddies and have a laugh its daft to subscribe when i dont even have a z also the msn thing is ok at home but what if you are at work

i have added several people from msn but never seem to get and conversation from them

There are alternative MSN interfaces these days, like Java and web. You'd have to work for a pretty smart company to be able to block all those.

So what makes you think they'd talk to you in a chat room then ! :D LOL

Why not give it a go but make sure people realise its just for a laugh and not tech talk, maybe then people will talk about the colour of their poo on there and it wont be seen on the forum for days, just a thought.

Had a look at the chat facility on the ZClub and it's really pretty good. It's a $5 investment and pretty easy to integrate with Vbulletin.

I rarely use MSN, but this may inject a bit of life/interest back into the forum.

aah, makes more sense!

Sorry Tooley but if the chat room involves a cost to the club commity then why should you get it for nothing? Not being rude but Z or no Z you are still entitled to pay your dues if not then you dont get the benefits.

Do you lot have to arque over everything lol

im on the zclub forum i think it is a very good idea as i have spoken to people that i never of spoken to, even to people that are on my msn :hyper:
