This is particularly pathetic but probably the most important factor of whether I get a Zed or not. I have no idea if one will fit in my garage, and if it does will I be able to open the door?

Sad that my decision to buy comes down to this but unfortunately it's a breaker, I'm not parking one on the road most of the time.

So I come to my ask, does anyone live in or near Canterbury that could swing into my garage and try it? I really don't want to put anyone out and I don't have much to offer other than a warm cup of tea but I would be eternally grateful and have a winning smile. :)

Paul C lives somewhere near you, but rather than volunteer his services there is a diagram somewhere with the dimensions on it.

suppose i better check this before trailering the zed to the new house - the garage looks big but it has only got a fiat x19 in it at the mo!

Hi Cheese, I live in Sandwich m8, if it means you'll get a Zed, I'll pop over ;)

Thanks for the diagram, I did actually look up the dimensions of the 300 and try to compare it to what car fits in there now and as much as I think it *might* just fit what I can't tell from dimensions is whether when it does fit if I could open the door and indeed get out :)

Also do many zeds have foldable wing mirrors?

Oh and thanks very much for this offer, I'm going to go and give the garage a good measure up and if I'm still as undecided as I am now I might take you up on that. Very nice of you to offer :)

Jap spec cars have folding door mirrors, not 100% sure about UK cars.

but you can always leave the window open and a targa off and enter a'la Dukes of Hazard

UK's mirrors do fold in, you just have to use yer hands instead of a button thou!! :D

Thanks for the responses guys again very helpful (i'm starting to love this place)

Funny someone should mention the idea of duke's of hazarding out a targa top, my mate was telling me about his ferrari 355 owning friend who had it garaged in such a small garage that he had to take the hard top off, half open the door and sort of hop over the sill. :o

I have to say though, I'm going to super annoyed if the only reason I can't get my zed is because it won't fit in my stupid stunted garage :headvswal

Yea - I work in Canterbury bud. dont mind popping over some time for you.

but as long as its a garage with a standard size door it will just about fit with the mirrors out :)

ps - would have to be coffee, i hate tea :D

i have a X1/9 in my garage (plus room for 2 bays shelving, 2 bikes and a lawnmower) this is because my 300zx doesnt fit through the door by about an inch and even if it did i would be stuck in it
