just got pulled by traffic, out gets small spikey blonde and our local community officer right prat he is younger then me..

she says" excuse me sir the reason i have stopped you is that your fog lights are on, and it is an offence to drive with them on when not needed" quick as a flash i reply" no they are not" she says " yes they are" i then reply "they cant be" she says why not i say " because if they were this is what you would see" turned the front ones on and the road lit up,, and then i said "this is the rear one" turned the switch in the car on it goes bright orange and the rear came on.

now the best bit... i then said" dont know much about japanese supercars do you? especially imported ones? see the small lights below the main ones? she said why, i told here the lights are standard, seeing as she couldnt get me on that she then said" also we are cracking down on drink driving in this area on the run up to xmas" i stopped her there and said in a nice calm manner" i dont drink" she then said " however we are cracking down" i then replied" i dont drink if i drink i die" she went quiet the prat next to her looked at me and i then said" if you have no further grounds to detain me and have no grounds to stop me i will be on my way" with that i started the car and carried on home...

the rookie blonde was the driver, as he is a community support officer he cant touch police cars.. he just gets to sit in them..

im sure they do good and unfortunatly i would have to call them if something happened here.. however i find that these days they are not competent enough to handle even the most basic of problems due to departmental red tape and the bloody do-gooders forcing them to act in certain ways..

personally i say bring back national service for all the damn kids today..

I see, certain people, I believe the minority, give the police a bad name and this CSO appears to be one!

bring back national service, that will sort the crime rate out

I think that would help greatly PK1. Maybe the government could also effectively target organised crime and the supply of addictive drugs!

ah no they cant that would mean doing something other than messing with rent boys, and sending our service men to clean up mr bush's fkn mess...

Yep, nearly forgot, if we irradicated addictive drugs in the UK that would be a great dent in CIA fundraising!

Thay could start by banning smoking.. Know the amount a motors I've pulled out a ditches cause of cigs.. Lighting it, Dropping it, Trying to find packet in glove box the list goes on :)

P.K. a couple of years ago i used to get pulled by a cop on motorbike he hated me and i hated him and this W*NKER would follow me home and find any excuse to pull me this was when i had motorbikes. I got a producer off him once and when i went to the station the cops in there couldnt stand im they called im "John Wayne" i asked why that was "Caus he wont get off his high horse" they told me he also was able to clear a canteen full of cops just so they didnt have to listen to im or sit anywhere near him. Numerous complaints were put forward by the public and he finally stopped being a cop (dont know the exact circumstances) SOOOOO i,m wiv you mate!!!

Quite right Pete, what you have to remember is, how did that burglar get to your house? Sure as hell they don't walk there!

LOL I live on a council estate mate, they sure as hell walk here, then they do ya house over and nick ya car on the way out.....little shits!

(Seriously this has happened only once, well made it into the paper only once, but its so boring round here that everything makes it into the paper! There was a story about a dog who went missing for 3 days and "found its way back" the other day  )

LOL I managed to convince one of the community support officers that he was obliged to give me his name, number, station address and home address...... f00king rookies....still, his face when i said "I'll be seein ya" and walked off :D

these cops are on a points bonus system so they try to get ya for absolutley anything!!

Wrong, go back to sleep..... :headvswal

they better not try and stop me next time i'm down yours bud

Or what, exactly?

Seriously though, I know where PK1 is coming from, unfortunately there are a hell of a lot of officers out there who don't know their arse from their elbow and have nothing better to do than target innocent motorists (I should know, I got pulled the other day for "looking a bit young" by a rookie. Funny thing was I had only just pulled out of the station car park. That said, people would be amazed at the things that can lead on from simple traffic stops. For example there was a case not so long ago in Dorset where a cop stopped a guy for having a stop light out and it transpired that the driver was disqualified and wanted on warrant for numerous other offences.

Well that was a lucky catch. TBH I have been stopped so many times i almost filed an harrassment case against the police, I wish I had now, as chances were I probably would have won. 34 times in 3 months, and 32 of them were "random/routine checks", one because I had neons on my car which is NOT illegal in the slightest, they just talk shit and once because they thought the car was nicked, which they based on me being 18 and driving a mondeo !!

If that is not a waste of time, then I don't know what is. The question is, if they WERE on a point based system, would there actually be any difference?

TBH probably not a noticable difference. I see you mentioned that they gave you the old "routine check" line. I hate that, It's a load of bo!!ocks, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ROUTINE CHECK! any officer that tells you that is talking out of his/her arse, and IMHO is a discredit to the service.

"Routine check on a young driver" would be more apt!
