Im gonna do a full service and wondered whats the best oils to use? Im gonna do engine,gearbox and diff.

Also do you guys always use geniune nissan filters? Im also thinking about changeing the air filter setup from standard and wondered whats the best setup to go for,the cars a uk tt completely standard with 57k on clock.

deffinitely use original filters, saw a web page about replacement filters once and have never used em since.

air filter a good replacement is the apexi powerflow

 

oil engine castrol rs 10-60 or millers 10-40 is good

 

oil filter genuine nissan

 

gearbox auto dextron II or equivelent

gearbox manaul redline mt-90 although this is more suited to cars with syncro wear 75-90 is the equivelant

diff oil75-90 synthetic is most commonly used with LSD very gloopy oil and is a PITA to replace being so thick but needs the corect level

Forgot to say just pasted mot here in northern ireland and had not to put a spanner near it all year just gave it a wash underneath :hyper:

mt-90 is available at demon tweeks not cheap though approx £17 a bottle IIRC you will need 4bottles i think

A lot cheaper than a new gearbox and the time spent putting the bugger in though!!

this is true its about 3ltrs but if you get the extra bottle incase of wastage

 

also make sure the gearbox is warm so the old oil will drain out easier ;)

True but also will get the oven gloves out cause it'll be hot under there! :o

Use the viscosities your handbook says - 10w-60 is not mentioned!
