Need one for me XDA IIi and there seem to be some top names being sold on there but are they just cheap copies?

Featured Replies

I heard somewhere that the cheaper ones sap power more. I have purchsed one from ebay and one from a camera specialist, and must admit the ebay one sapps power from the batteries. Main reason i bought a second as i went on holiday with my camera and forgot the memory card LOL.

MArk, speak to cybernet, he sorted me some for my phone, camera and PDA

They're not copies, just much cheaper on there but...

Its really important to get the fastest card you can for a PDA or it will be very slow to copy files and even worse when you install programs to the card as it will take an age to open them. The PDA's built in RAM is much faster than relatively slow Flash RAM cards.

The Sandisk Extreme III / Ultra II/III 120x+ and new Samsung based 150x speed cards are excellent.

Cheers fellas, will try and get my brain out into the 21st century and buy one :)

Dont know if you know about this but there has been a few problems with the XDAIIi reading certain SD cards, it seems to be the dual layer cards but it's quite random. You'll get a bit pissed off because the XDAIIi will lock up but when you remove the card it works again!

Though no one has figured out why this happens yet. Just hope the card you get doesnt causes your XDAIIi to lock up!
