Hate to be all "health and safety" (it is my job) but try and remember that this is the start of you learning to drive not the end. Learn the limits of your car and your own limits, and no matter how much your mates think it is a good idea, stay within them.

Best it of advice on here so far is that this is the start of learning!! Find a nice big car park and learn how to brake hard without locking the wheels (assuming your first car doesn't have ABS) and also learn how to steer into skids and stuff, it may well save your life!
